Destination: Highland Celebration!

The other night in Edinburgh we spent our evening in a pub called the Royal Oak. They had some great local folk musicians playing, so we spent our evening enjoying the sounds of Scotland and joining in song. The next day we hopped on a bus to Peebles, just south of the city, to see the highland games. We had a great time. The music was wonderful and there were so many sweet puppies to keep me occupied throughout the day. After some food and fun, we hopped back on the bus and went to...IKEA!!!! We saw one off the side of the road so we decided to spend some time there to ease some of our homesickness. On our last night we hiked up Holyrood Mountain overlooking the city. The last two days have been spent in the town of Pitlochy in the Scottish Highlands where we are currently camping. This campsite is far from roughing it; there are nice bathrooms, full indoor pool with jacuuzi, full bar and restaurant, laundry facilities, and a convenience store. It's about two miles form the main town. This morning Seth and I ran into town to visit the tourist bureau and grab a bite to eat. I think we'll stay here for a few days before continuing further into the highlands. Lochness monster here we come!

i wish i was one half of you guys instead of in a "complicated" relationship. i wonder how you do it. you should tell me. i want to get married. yes, that's right, the truth comes out. the little homo wants to do it the breedy way. but no one wants her. :(. i just realized this whole post was about me. great pictures, guys!!! i especially like the doggy. there was a gorgeous hound (of indeterminate breed, other than "hound") at the humane society today.
